Xplor Park is located in Playa Del Carmen Mexico and is an excursion available on Carnival Cruises and possibly other cruise lines. Activities include ziplining, UTV trail rides through caves, Kayaking through caves and swimming through underground caverns. This activity is for the moderately fit to fit individual as there is A LOT of walking and climbing. It is also A LOT of FUN! I highly reco...

Is the hot tub located in the adult only area?
How was the movement of the ship being at the rear?
Dave, I have this cabin booked for September 2024. When the crew door is being used does it close loudly? How about the noise from elevator? You mentioned these issues in your pros and cons in the video.
Hello! Great Video! Helped me make my decison. By the way, you ever notice the bird magically appears after you open the door? I swear I thought it was a ghost bird! check it out, I had to watch it a few times and im like, what a minute, this looks strange? Sure you not on a ghost ship!~ So cool, I booked my trip!

I Booked A Aft Facing One On Deck 7
Which would you recommend between this and grand cypress?
Hi there, When you arrived were the beds together or were they already separated?
I apologize for the late response. I was never notified of your comment. They were separated. Whichever way you need them, your room steward can accommodate you with a simple request.
Dave came in clutch. He ate and left to crumbs
Excited to be in one of those for my next cruise.
Thank you man for this review i appreciate! June 3 i will join the ship as engine cadet!
Best of luck!
I think I would opt for a regular balcony room instead with a high-floor balcony and the ocean right below me. But thsi is a very informative video, thank you.
Hi! This is a great video showing this room. We just booked it along with the vista wrap next door. This specific balcony is extended and also has extra width to it in comparison to other extended aft balconies.
what is a good price to pay for this room for a four day and three day from miami to bahamas
The sunshine is one of the few ships that does have the “secret outlet” behind the TV
Why pay a premium for an unsafe location, obstructed views and no privacy ? 🤔. I’ll pass thx
thank you for this video! quick question, I recently heard that you don't want a room in the back of the ship because you feel a lot of movement. Do you agree with this or no? We love these rooms but I keep hearing that statement and I worry about the wave movements. thank you!
I don't agree with it. I love rooms towards the back, especially if it is an aft balcony, which are normally slightly extended from regular balcony rooms. I find that it eliminates a lot of foot traffic past the room except for those that stay in adjacent rooms. Personal preference I suppose. I did not notice any significant difference in movement as compared to other areas of the ship.
This was a handy dandy review
Thank you!
Its very nice but the fact of no ocean view like the balcony its not a winner for me and 2nd the fact that you can see the person next to you is a no for me as well. I wish the wall was all the way down. Thanks for the magnetic idea.
It's not for everyone. Each cabin has its pluses and minuses. You're welcome for the magnetic idea
Could you tell me more about the outlet "block" that adds an extra USB port?
Sure. I have to go by memory as I'm not standing in front of it, but from what I recollect there are two 120v outlets on the face of the block and one USB outlet on the side of the block facing the outside wall.
@@RondeJeremy Many thanks. We're leaving Wednesday on the Sky. Our balcony upgrade didn't come through, but your video shows that an insider 'ain't so bad'! Thanks for posting.
Dave thanks for posting this, when booking did your room indicate it was an extended balcony? I booked the same ship but I believe we are on the Upper Deck and it just says Aft Facing Balcony. Thanks in advance.
Tom, yes. The room description stated aft extended balcony.
@@RondeJeremy Thanks Dave for the quick reply. I also saw it, we are on an extended balcony too. Sailing to Cozumel and Key West!!
great video! Did you feel movement while out sea?
Not much at all. The ships have stabilizers that stabilize the ships pretty well. Theres a little movement but not much
Thank you :)
How did you hold your go pro? I am going next week so just wondering what is best. Thanks
Basically I held a selfie stick. It's the GoPro brand with a strap, but that was it
There are some restrictions on some USB ports, I can't remember why. But I bought the one Carnival told me to buy to avoid restrictions. Nice thing with no plugin it lights blue while charging it's red. makes a great nite light which is better for inside staterooms.
Can the key card lock and unlock the padio door? When i leave the padio i want my room secured.
SV methos it couldn’t at the time of the inaugural sailing. Once you left via the patio door it could not be locked. Carnival may have made changes since then as I’m sure the concern for securing the door has been brought up to them.
Ship!
Thanks great job
You have to put one foot in the shower while you're on the toilet. I recently had cabin 7254
Great video....I booked this room for the March 1st, 2020 cruise...my wife is very excited. Also the tip on the magnetic hooks is a good one. Tyvm
Hi Tom! Very interested to know how your March 2020 cruise went???🤔
Kim Dee it was wonderful. We did get rerouted to different ports ...but we didn't care ..it was a fun cruise @nd we remained healthy..l.its been crazy since....hopefully we can all get back to normal in 2021
@@FLYINGWARRIOR19661 Awesome! With that [pandemic] devil in hot pursuit... glad youz were able Sail & Enjoy!!! I'm 400+ days away from my next cruise, but Anticipation can be a Good Thing! Happy Cruising!🥂
Kim Dee 400 days...that should be enough time to get things back to normal...God willing. Have a wonderful time.....maybe pay for this one and book another one sooner:)
@@FLYINGWARRIOR19661 That's what I'm banking on! But heading to Jamaica in May, for some Sun & Sand... Sailing in Sept to assure the 'coast is clear'. And upgraded to a Havana Balcony🥂
I'm not sure why it produced such a small viewing picture. If I can figure it out, I'll re-burn it and replace this video.
Great video. I have a question, in case you are still monitoring this. Is there a lot of foot traffic from people going to the Havana pool? Is that pool open to everyone on the ship? I don't suppose it is private for the people in the Havana Cabanas? That would be awesome but probably too much to hope for !!! Thanks.
The Havana section is closed to everyone except the Havana cabins daily until 7pm. Only the Havana section cabins (which span 2-3 decks) have access to the pool and hot tub daily until 7pm. After that it is open to the remainder of the guests. During the daily hours it is not very crowded at all. No one walks past the outside walkway except the people in the other cabins, which weren't many as there were approximately 15 cabins on each side. After 7 people for other areas cut through the restaurant. Some get curious and walk past and look but not many. Hope that answered your question and helped make your decision.
😂
Happy Anniversary! Those magnetic hooks are genius. Thnx for the tour!!!
Christina Mullen we will be in 7330 in April! Would love it if you could post pics of the room 😁
He can't because he didn't book that room . All the rooms along the aft of the ship look the same.
Thanks - this was great! We will be in 7329 in July. You're a tidy cruiser, like us!
2019 November
😍😍😍
Thank you so much for this video! We are in room 7330 right next door in February and I couldn’t find a video of the aft cabins on deck 7! Now I know what it’s going to look like! Can’t wait!
Christina Mullen no problem! Enjoy your cruise!
It was really nice! Thanks!
We were told deck 7 was one of the decks without a mini fridge. we will have this room on the sunshine in Jan. was the fridge there or did you request it. thanks
The refrigerator was already in the room. They may have added more since you last checked during the dry dock completed in October.
Thank U 4 this video.... I never been on a Carnival ship (only Royal Caribbean n Norwegian) n I was thinking bout doing this ship because I love the look.... Can U tell me the over all experience U had on this ship (like the food, shows, rides n the staff)... Thank U
Yes. I can’t say enough good things. The food in the dining room and buffet was comparable to Royal Caribbean. I’ve been on Royal, Disney, Norwegian and Carnival. The specialty restaurants though were really good. We ate at the Asian restaurant which was an awesome experience. We also ate at the steakhouse which was really good. The shows were really good. I know they change from time to time but they had a show called Spellbound that was the best I’ve seen among the 10 cruises I have taken. The ship had an IMAX movie theater which we went to twice. You can’t even tell you are at sea. It’s like we were in a movie theater on land. We also rode the sky ride bikes which were a blast. On the cruise that we were on it was too cold for us to go on any of the water rides since we were in the Mediterranean. We didn’t do the mini golf or ropes course either but both look pretty good. The staff was very accommodating. We were on the inaugural cruise so it was their first voyage with passengers but they were very good. The cruise director Mike is just a ball of energy. I’d recommend going on it. It’s an amazing ship
Just got off Horizon loved it. New to port of Miami Horizon took Vistas place in this port. They blew horns as welcome / goodbye ua-cam.com/video/j8yNNPco00M/v-deo.html
It’s an awesome ship isn’t it? Took a while for me not to want to look for a button to push in the elevator. 😂
I actually did not mind them. Different concept for sure
I hated the elevator system there
I have this same cabin booked for July of 2019
You'll love it. See if you can find the hidden notes I left throughout the cabin during the inaugural voyage. There are 4. They are well hidden. It's possible that the room steward could've discovered them by now but probably not. If you get the internet package let me know if you didn't find any on the last day and I will reveal where they are.
Unless they were found I will try we are going sept. 5th in this same room can't wait. Our 35th Carnival Cruise, Friends have cabins nearby.
Frank Niedospial the notes have my email address on them and I haven't received any emails yet so they were either never found or the room steward found them and threw them away. They are very well hidden though
Dave Redmond have you gotten any emails yet?
Hello is there key fob entry from the patio if we leave out that door?
That was actually one of the surprising things to us that you could not lock the patio door if you left out of that door. That’s how it was on the inaugural cruise in April 2018. They may have made improvements by now that allows the door to lock but it did not back then
Because of that, most of the time we would go out the main cabin door and then cut back through the Havana restaurant to get to the back portion of the boat
Dave Redmond wow that really sucks!! Was it a long walk from the room to the pool area?
Sheree Hunter not at all. Maybe two minutes if that
Dave Redmond ok good and loved ur review!! I booked this cabin because of it thnx!
Ok thanks for the feedback
Does the Havana Restaurant cost extra if you're staying in Havana cabin
I didn't have food at the restaurant so I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I did have a drink from the bar and there was a charge, so I would assume charges apply to food as well. The large benefit to booking these rooms was the lack of crowds in the private pool and hot tub areas. You can get a lounger and/or get in the pools and hot tubs anytime. They were never crowded.
@Eric Sanchez that's going to depend on the time of year you sail and the length of your trip. During peak season for a 7 day trip expect to pay around $1800 for the trip. If you have a travel agent you may be able to pick it up cheaper than that or get shipboard credit. If you have the money to spend I recommend it. It was the nicest cabin I have ever been in (note: I have never stayed in a suite).
Thanks for the tour it was very informative. Great idea with the magnetic hooks.
You all prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know of a method to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Luca Jensen I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Luca Jensen it worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D Thanks so much, you really help me out!
@Cohen Harley No problem =)
WooHoo. We have 5239 booked on the Vista for September. I believe it is the same floor plan and located the same place on the deck so your video has answered many of my questions. I wasn't sure if being the last/first room was going to be a good or bad thing but since viewing your video, I am even more excited (if possible). Is there a lot of loud music from the common areas? (we were near the Lido deck on our last cruise and the walls literally shook during the sail away party).
Teri Yankee I never heard the music. The walls were insulated enough to prevent that
